FastGas 670g Original

FastGas 670g Original

FastGas supplies food-grade nitrous oxide in disposable steel cylinders for the catering trade. Each cylinder replaces a large box of 8g bulbs, so there is less to change during service and far less steel to throw away.

What you get

• Steel 670g cylinders of food-grade nitrous oxide (E942)
• 670g of gas per cylinder: about 84 standard 8g charges, or roughly 42 litres of liquid cream
• Single-use, recyclable steel

How to use it

1. Fill your cream dispenser with cold whipping cream up to the fill line and close the head.
2. Screw a pressure regulator onto the cylinder and connect its hose to the dispenser. A cylinder never connects straight to a dispenser.
3. Open the regulator slowly to charge the dispenser, then close it and disconnect.
4. Shake the dispenser a few times and dispense with the nozzle pointing down.

Storage and disposal

Store cylinders upright in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. When a cylinder is empty, release any remaining pressure with a pressure-release nozzle, then put it in metal recycling.

Is this the right pack size?

Work from the cream you use: weekly litres of whipping cream multiplied by two gives the number of 8g charges you need. Our guide How many cream chargers do you need? has the full chart. Compare other sizes on the 640g cream chargers page.

Questions

Do I need a regulator?

Yes. Large cylinders are used with a pressure regulator and filling hose, which are reusable and sold separately.

Which dispensers does it work with?

With a regulator, a cylinder can charge standard cream dispensers. See our whipped cream dispensers.

How is it delivered?
