FastGas supplies food-grade nitrous oxide in disposable steel cylinders for the catering trade. This is a single high-capacity cylinder for kitchens that charge dispensers continuously through service. This is the Coconut edition, which carries a light coconut aroma.

What you get

• 1 x steel cylinder of food-grade nitrous oxide (E942)
• 2,000g of gas per cylinder: about 250 standard 8g charges, or roughly 125 litres of liquid cream
• Single-use, recyclable steel

How to use it

1. Fill your cream dispenser with cold whipping cream up to the fill line and close the head.
2. Screw a pressure regulator onto the cylinder and connect its hose to the dispenser. A cylinder never connects straight to a dispenser.
3. Open the regulator slowly to charge the dispenser, then close it and disconnect.
4. Shake the dispenser a few times and dispense with the nozzle pointing down.

Storage and disposal

Store cylinders upright in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight. When a cylinder is empty, release any remaining pressure with a pressure-release nozzle, then put it in metal recycling.

Is a 2KG cylinder right for you?

Choose 2KG if you whip more than about 60 litres of cream a week. For smaller volumes a 640g-class cylinder is easier to handle. Compare all 2KG cream chargers.

Do I need a regulator?

Yes. Large cylinders are used with a pressure regulator and filling hose, which are reusable and sold separately.

Which dispensers does it work with?
